FAQS                                                             (317) 253-JUMP

Who will deliver and secure the bounce houses and other equipment?
Bounce About Indy installers will deliver, set-up and secure, and then take down all equipment.  All bounce houses and other inflatables need to be anchored for safety.  We do not offer customer pick-up.

How long is a rental period?
Inflatable rentals are for 6 hour periods unless otherwise stated.  Pre-arranged additional rental time can often be accommodated.

How much space do I need for set-up?
Please allow a minimum space of 20’ by 20’ on grass or pavement for standard Bounce Houses.  The area needs to be flat, dry, and clear of all debris and sharp objects (rocks, sticks, pet droppings) before the unit can be set in place.  An inflatable set-up on grass is always best.  Also, remember that all Bounce Houses have different heights from 15’ to 20’ – check the dimensions of each inflatable in its item description on our web page.  If unsure about space needs, check with us.

Please do not run sprinklers or mow lawn the same day in the set-up area.  Grass clippings in the bounce houses and grass stains are difficult to clean.  Water on the inflatables requires an additional set-up for cleaning and drying after the event.

What are the utilities needs?
All our bounce houses, combo units, interactive units, and slides require a continuous air supply and will require an electrical outlet (a normal 110 home power source) within 90 feet of the inflatable air blower.  We recommend a dedicated 20-amp circuit breaker to run the blower that maintains air inflation of the bounce house.  If an inflatable is over 90 feet from a needed electrical outlet, then a generator will be necessary and Bounce About Indy can rent a generator to you based upon their availability.

A water slide will need to be able to connect to your garden hose in place.

Is there a rental agreement?
Yes, if you have not signed our rental agreement prior to the day of the event, then on the day of your event, our equipment installer will have a copy and will need your signature at that time.  You will also be given a copy of “Safety Rules and Operating Instructions”.

What are the methods of Payment?
Cash, charge card, or a personal check is acceptable if there is a verifiable credit card and driver’s license when renting for home residential usage.  A Company check is also acceptable for businesses, religious organizations, and schools.

What weather conditions will cause cancellations?
We cannot set-up in rain, snow, high wind (in excess of 20mph), or muddy conditions.
In the event of a bad weather forecast the morning of the event, you will be given the option to cancel prior to the event and receive a full refund of your deposit.  All deposit refunds are issued by check and are mailed to the renter.

If your option choice is that the equipment be set-up on site, then the full amount of the rental is non-refundable, even if the event is cut short due to bad weather

What are the charges for rentals?
Each rental fee is provided in item’s description.  Rental prices stated on web page are subject to change and do not include the Indiana 7% sales tax.

Are there Delivery, Set-up and Pick-up Fees:
A single fee covers the delivery and set-up, take-down and removal and is $25 for Indianapolis, Avon, Ben Davis, Beech Grove, Brownsburg, Carmel, Fishers, Greenfield, Greenwood, Homecroft, Noblesville, Plainfield, Southport, Speedway, Westfield, Zionsville, and areas in between.

Please call for outside this area.

Rental Period:  Early morning delivery is available.  Pick-ups are the same day of rental.

Payment:  A 25% deposit is required 7 days after booking to secure your date and time.    A reservation is not in effect until the deposit is received.  The full payment is due prior to set-up of units.   Cancellations, unless for inclement weather, result in a loss of deposit unless you cancel rentals within 14 calendar days of the scheduled event.

Can we wear shoes in the bounce house?
No, everybody who is jumping on the inflatable needs to be wearing socks.  Shoes on bouncers makes the bounce house dirty for the users, causes scuff marks and faster unit wear,  Shoes also cause additional cleaning time and makes the bouncing experience less enjoyable for all users.  No shoes, please

Who is responsible for cleaning?
The inflatable should simply be wiped free of loose debris with a clean dry cloth.  Make sure that there is no debris, or toys, or clothing left inside.  DO NOT USE any chemicals or cleaners on inflatables.  If liquid gets on the inflatable, clean with warm water only.  .  We will then sanitize equipment after every use and provide more thorough cleaning.

Any unit that is unreasonably dirty will be charged a $25 per hour cleaning fee.  Important warning:  NO silly string or fireworks may be used anywhere near an inflatable.  Silly string acts as almost an acid on vinyl and is very difficult to remove and WILL cause damage to the inflatables.  If the inflatable is damaged due negligence, then the renter will be responsible for repairs of the damage.

How many people and what weight limit is allowed?
Each inflatable has different usage limitations.   We will provide information on the limitations.  An adult needs to supervise the children jumping to ensure the limitations are followed at all times.

Do you provide event attendants?
Not normally, but with advance notice Bounce About Indy can provide event attendants at a $25 per hour rate per attendant with a minimum booking of four hours.

Are there inspections?
Yes, for safety reasons each unit will be inflated and inspected for damage and cleanliness before renter’s use and then again before removal of equipment.
